Turn is made.
I realize I have no Barracks, is it worth switching to Barracks so the chop can go to complete it?
Yar Tshes: Walls done next turn, queue archer to whip
DZ: spear done next turn, queue archer to whip
The Suttree army appears to be moving west. Hmm..
Flying Russian reveals a lot more Retep land.
War clock of the ages:
450 AD - 5/10 Retep/BGN (550 AD)
450 AD - 4/10 Suttree (575 AD)

The barracks decisions depends on whether you expect to get a return on your investment. Instead of a barracks those hammers could finish an axe and an acher. Each unit produced after a barracks gets an extra promotion. How many units with an extra promotion does it take to provide more value than the extra two defenders?
Not sure of the answer, honestly. if you're optimistic that you'll survive for a while, probably go barracks. If Suttree is coming in five turns, probably not.

Finished wall in Yar and spear in DZ. Ouch, whipping now costs 2 pop, breaking both cities down to 4 from 6. Whipping forth an archer in both, with axe in queue.
Flying russian finds more Retep expansion.
Peaceful beancounter:
6/10 Retep/BGN (550 AD)
5/10 Suttree (575 AD)

I have a workweekend coming up that means I have to travel a lot.
Can you sub for me Saturday/Sunday Ceiliazul?
Possible tomorrow as well depending on when turn rolls.
I will be starting in about 12-15hours. Returning Sunday afternoon.
I may be able to check in here via my phone.
It was a sudden thing that came up at work.
Sorry about the short notice.

It is kinda sad to reach that goal, seeing as someone else had to fall to complete it. *salutes Azza*
Turn taken.
Damn. The chops that finished at the same time means a whole lot of surplus hammers. Won't these -chop- hammers be gone next turn? I have 105 hammers, 1 turn barracks? Aqueduct(nonsense atm)? Settler(plan for the future grim?)? Possibly waste them on continued axe/spear/archer? I am thinking to set it at a Settler and expand to the coast again. Seeing as I have limited time now, and we need a new goal, I am going for:
Build another city!
City Site 1 means a Banana resource to grow from and recapping a little trade village from BGN. City site 2 is banana and pasture. Actually #2 may be the best placement 4f2h. Increase rev, regain land lost since I have culture on this land, share out defenders a bit. It may be a fool's plan but I intend to play like I am moving forward instead of turtlebuilding myself to stagnation. If I go down it will be with head raised high and eyes forward.
Retep has more land/cities:

I'm off now. Plan for the next turns are:
1)Settle city+defenders placement there
2)Continue chop+pause 1 chop to get the most out of it two turns in a row to build more defense
3)Continue to explore Retep's territory
4)Gloriously defend against possible aggressors
I'll be back sunday afternoon. gl hf

Accepted this, Kuro is barely above us in score.
Current opponent city counts:
Suttree 17
retep 15
WillLP 13
Molach 11
Bandit 15
Xenu 15
Oxy 8
Kuro 7
Halvgud 3
settled the new city. It was net positive for the economy due to the foreign routes. Feudalism is ~15 turns away, so tried a big beg. Doubt he'll take it, but see see.
Not much time left on the peace counters:
