[SPOILERS] Team EggHeads: DMOC and TeddyKGB (Now Lurker-Friendly!)

Okay, after I tried but failed to logged in, Asterix logged out so thankfully I can log in. smile I didn't move or change anything deferring things up to you. I also forgot to check event log or civics, so could you check on those? I'm wondering if Yuufo ever switched back to Representation.

Just to clarify, next turn is our plan to research 100% and get Polytheism, followed by Monotheism, Priesthood, then Monarchy? Do we want a double OR/HR revolt?

It was pretty nice to log in and see our cities be quite large (relatively) due to the extra happiness. We do need more badly, and hopefully if Rome attacks elsewhere, we can use the military we've been making to stash into cities for that purpose.

Some comments:

1. We still need more cottages (especially by Stanford and Princeton, so hopefully workers are on it).
2. We can afford a 13th city soon, but we may want to see what Rome does? If we attack Rome, we might consider the 13th city to claim a second silver (i.e. south of Illinois) and then use that city for marble, and possibly chop a wonder. Otherwise, I'd like to place another city east of Princeton.
3. Where should the Hindu missionary go? Stanford, MIT, and CM are the only reasonable options to me. Which city needs the happiness boost the most?
4. When will Berkeley be back to working Scientists? And CM, for that matter?
5. I think we just need a few more workers (2/3 more?) and we might be set for the rest of the game.
6. I would be interested in seeing the scouting region on this area:

We also got a message from Asterix:

Quote:Do you want to trade Stone for Spices starting from turn T114 (when your trade with Suttocrats expires)?

Just curious as to how they knew our diplo was like that. Anyway, I would be interested in this deal but I really hope we can seek other forms of happiness.

For what it's worth, I generally agree with all the worker moves and improvements you've done. Caltech on a lighthouse seems a bit silly, but I guess if we're always working that lake we'd want that, but it raises the question as to whether we could have founded a better city.

Yes, Asterix's problems with firewall happens from time to time. Sometimes I can login with him, sometimes I can't.

Forgot to mention, SutOxy got GS this turn. Not much news in event log.
Yuufo still in PS+OR civics.

I was gonna keep slider at 0% for several turns. We got Meditation and I'll whip monastery and start produce missionaries soon. But we not in a hurry for Poly, PH or Mono, as I understand. We are aiming for Monarchy now.
Also, accumulating gold might allow us to switch Arch->HBR if needed.
Finally, we could try go for Calendar, fast plantations on Spice and keep trade for Silk with SutOxy.
But Monarchy is a general tech goal for now.

I'd prefer double revolt to OR/HR, yes. Not sure we could spare units from Rome's border, tho. We have def pact in place, so once Rome attack one of us, we'll be at war.
Currently Rome has some like 25 Praets, I think.

1. Princeton is on happy cap now. I agree Stanford could use some more, there is 4 workers in that area.
2. Yes, I would like to get marble. We'll see. There is another spot with Fur SW of Stanford.
3. I was gonna put it in Stanford, whip monastery and build missionaries there. So, we'll have UWash and Stanford for missionaries pump pre OR/HR switch. Also we could use more happiness in eastern cities soon.
4. Not sure. What are you suggest to do with 2nd GSci?
5. Might be.
6. I still use that warrior as a sentry. Might find some chariot to explore Iron city, maybe got lucky and get some exp too.

Yeah, Stanford seems like a good bet with the Monastery, and since it doesn't have a religion now we have a 100% chance of the spread being successful. smile

Will respond to the rest of the stuff later once my work tonight gets done.

Okay, some more detailed comments and other things.

1. Stanford; yes, cottages would be great. smile And a monastery would be good.
2. Did we ever negotiate with Blame Caledorn about the furs? If they want stone for it, then let's give it to them; I'd rather they get it than Asterix.
3. Second great sci: I'm thinking either a bulb (Philosophy?) or a second academy. However, it's admittedly not going to be THAT beneficial to us, since I see us going more along the Guilds path than the Liberalism path, which will be a nice change to my play-style. What techs could a scientist bulb along the way?
4. Say, we need to put Iron Working somewhere on the queue. After Monarchy?

Now some other things:

1. (Long-term) Once this semester is finished, I'll draft up a detailed plan for our progress going forward, including diplomacy, military, worker actions, and the high-level master plan. (Assuming Rome doesn't attack us with all their military.)
2. I would keep some forests by certain cities (border cities?) so we can possibly chop in a quick wonder once we get Aesthetics/Literature (which we want for Hippodromes).

4 hours left on the turn timer. Can you play? I can play if needed in a few hours. I assume Arki is already offering the 20gold, right? If the trade is happening this turn.

The game will be reload. Can't connect now.

Yes, I hope Arki offer 20g.
Also, there is a msg from Zulu. Diplo with them seems not that important, but its nice to have them on a good side, I guess.

Some pictures from last turn (T106).

T107.

We have some religion spread. Sadly, it wasn't Hindu twice.
Got 20g from Arki, I did gift worker to him.

CM finished LH, start Colleseum.
3 more catapults done, we are 2nd power but far behind Rome.

Whip Monastery in UWash, decide to whip LH in UIllinoise (maybe we should have ignore LH here completely).

Yos adopted Christianity, thanks to free missionary from bulbed Theology.

Pictures.

From suttree:

Quote:hey - was going to send an e-mail, but saw you're online.  INFO DUMP - Maga is researching Civil Service, We're about to finish monarchy. C_H is doing diplomacy again

also, we met Dinos

yes big stack o' praets - barrage cats + axes=dead praets, though. Still, costly :-( If they attack you, we'll ship some doggies in your direction.  Though I doubt they will attack you.  Depends on Maga influence, I guess.

being adjacent to Arki, we have Hinduism.

TeddyKGB FOR POPE!

haha - watch him convert the turn before building it :-)

well, we are teching even with Maga atm, but there are always other options.
at some point can you get DMOC to explain his cryptic e-mail to me? I still don't understand what he meant...

Want to send this to Blame Caledorn? If they don't agree, then we might as well send our stone to Asterix in exchange for spices. In the interest of time, if you agree to this message Teddy then feel free to send it, we want them to know ASAP.

Quote:Blame Caledorn,

We mentioned this in chat before, but we are interested in founding a city down to our south that can claim the furs. However, we'd rather not antagonize you over settling that city, since we view your team as a firm ally. Thus, we hope you would be interested in a gift of stone for us, starting at around 114 once we finish trading our resource to SutOxy. We're happy to provide you with stone for as long as reasonable --- I was thinking of at least 20 turns as a ballpark, but feel free to offer other ideas.

Sincerely,
DMOC of Team EggHeads

Anyway, as far as the game goes, it's looking as good as it can, given the Rome threat. Keep growing our cities as much as possible (unless whip is needed) and let's pump Hinduism. smile

Finished turn. Report in 2 hours after football.
Not much news.

Let me chat with Yos first, before diplo msg, as I understand Caledorn not happy about we plant Fur (maybe Yos just use his name like I used yours in chat sometimes?).

Moved scout on new turn, so we made contact with Ponies. Draft greetings?
