Very solid turnsets, Mardoc and Ranamar!
Yeah, Konrad never struck me as the sharpest tool in the shed.
Getting a ranged attack for the princess is much more valuable than adding it to a unit which already has a decent one, who also spends lots of time out of the fighting at our keep. We did a similar thing in our first SG, with giving the Rod of Justice to a thug rather than to the central hero -- why give a nice ranged item to the "already has one, often out of the fight" hero when you can create an uber-unit instead?
Looking at the new map, we certainly ended up with a nice pile of gold.
If I am remembering correctly, we get lots and lots of orc ambushes on this map so it is a good chance to level up some elves. Fighters and archers both would be useful to have for the future, and newbies mean Konrad, the elf lord, and that elf fighter (did he get that last XP to become a captain?) can provide leadership. Should we try to develop some more mages or shamans as well for arcane firepower?
I believe Fire&Ice is up next in the revised rotation?
