Alright, incoming wolfy spam post where I try to cover everything that came up about me while I was at work so we can move on. (Or at least so I can.)
This just isn't true. I've explained myself several times over - while maybe you're not satisfied you can't honestly say all I've done is lash out.
As I said earlier, I try and herd cats. I'm actually generally good at it late in the game, since I never die unless I'm scum, but early on when all you stubbornfolk are still alive I rarely convince anyone. Still, that's not really what I was going for here. Honestly, I'm just laying out everything I see as mildly suspicious. I found the entire Injera/Catwalk situation... peculiar. Let me bold this next part.
The primary reason I voted Injera over Catwalk is that Injera's actions are the prime reason for my real suspicion.
My Catwalk comment was just a generic quick analysis, the type of which I make all the time, and I standby due to my insight into his personality - I do not believe Catwalk has the comportment to play actively as scum. That's not an insult or slight, just my perception of his personality. That's all. My Injera vote is largely due to what I find a peculiar early defense of what was a fairly meaningless comment. That's a scum read. So I voted Injera over Catwalk because my purpose is not getting people to agree with me on anything, its to make the best scum reads I can. Right now, I feel more comfortable with an Injera read than the Catwalk one, though Catwalk is also a better option than most in my mind.
I'll address the second point first. I wasn't overreacting - Rowain and I have a long standing love-hate relationship going back to WW2. I always think he's unnecessarily fixated on me and made the joke about the Gaspar fan club. Adding you and Bigger to it was just an extension on the joke - something I think the people who've been playing with me for a while got. You've seen me overreact and lash out before - this wasn't that.
On the first point, joke vote was probably the wrong term, it wasn't funny. It was just a first vote, meaningless. But I had a little germ of an insight, so I threw it out there. Take it or leave it or overreact to it.
Yeah, agree with everything here. The crux is that I suspected them both, but had a stronger scum read on Injera so that's where I voted. Plus my general aversion to getting into a bloodbath with Catwalk again.
Honestly didn't remember this. But if that's the case, doesn't he have even less reason to make that first post?
It was throw reads out. I don't have high conviction, because it is day one and our evidence is limited. But I have some, so I threw both out there because I'm not trying to get a specific person lynched - I'm trying to shine some light on a situation.
Anyway, I'm not sure how much else I can explain here. I'm not even angry, mostly just surprised the extent to which there is a "dog with a bone" about this. Hopefully my next post will be about someone else and scum hunting.

You're not making the slightest effort to explain yourself, or even say, "Hey, you've misunderstood, here's what I meant." I've tried to give you openings to do so, but you're just lashing back.

My problem with Gaspar post is his fifth comment. This one:
"[*]Catwalk finds he has time to play."
What does it have to do with the rest of the post? As far as I can tell, nothing. Gaspar already admitted that his early comment about Catwalk probably lurking as scum wasn't one directed to his behaviour here, but only an hipothethical one. So, I get, from that, that he didn't suspecy Catwalk.
His case in this post, as can be seen by his vote, was against Injera. He suspected Injera due to the Catwalk defense. So why add that little snippet about Catwalk finding time to play? The only explanation I can see for this is an attempt to herd the cats, to add strenght to his argument based on a thing that doesn't have to do with the argument itself, it's just indiciary.
Thing is, that's not how Gaspar usually rolls when he's a villager. He's not a cat herder. If Zak made the same thing (and he did things similarly this game already, like inflating the interpretation of a post to make his case better), it wouldn't be a scum tell, becuase that's Zak's way of playing.

If it's a joke vote what's funny ha ha about it?
<snip>
There are a couple of things here. First, this is an overreaction to what amounted to a pair of votes less than an hour into the game. Second, he's calling his Catwalk vote a joke vote while simultaneous sticking up for it. He's equivocating on it, he's not standing by it but can't let it go without providing a reason. You pointed out that the read, "Catwalk would lurk if scum" was a good insight but ask yourself why is it there in the first place?

zakalwe Wrote:Huh? That fifth point relates pretty clearly to points one and two. Catwalk started drawing heat based on the theory that he was deliberately lurking. He then promptly delurked. I don't think it's strange to regard this as suspicious, and as far as I can tell, this is pretty much exactly what Gaspar was getting at.
Again... huh? It was quite clear IMO that he suspected Catwalk and Injera as a scum pair. He couldn't vote for both of them.
I disagree with pretty much all of this. Most crucially, I don't think it was unclear that he suspected both of you.

Honestly didn't remember this. But if that's the case, doesn't he have even less reason to make that first post?
Ichabod Wrote:I think I can better verse my thoughts now:
Gaspar post seemed to be more of a "throw suspicions around where they fit" then a "I suspect player X". The line between such posts is very thin, but then again, that's normally what we have to go about early.

I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?
