Again, look at what I actually said and what mine and Meiz' discussion was about. We pretty much countered the meta arguments saying you were likely guilty because of your role, although I didn't buy Meiz' argument that you were likely villager because of your role. As you point out, it can even be in your interest with a power role to attract a certain amount of suspicion for exactly that reason.
My main point (no matter the situation) is that antagonizing each other is anti-town. If villagers can use force to discourage arguments against them, so can wolves. And it's in our interest that all stones be turned, also the bad ones. Moreover, no scum is going to be discouraged by another player mouthing off. Villagers might, though.
