Map: Prefer balanced starts (within reason, PB4 style). Mapmaker's decision for most, depending on mapmaker's abilities. Must confirm mapmaker.
Civilization Picks: Roll random 18, have the map team select the most interesting X combos for the number of players in the game.
Diplomacy: AI diplo only
Espionage: Can't build spies, Great Spies must be settled or used for Golden Age
Technology Trading: Off
*Barbs: On
*Huts: mapmaker decision
*Events: Off
*Corps: Off. Seriously.
Map wrap - Toroid or cylindrical
Difficulty level - probably prince/toroid or monarch cylindrical. Mapmaker's preference.
Further bans: Nukes, WEs, Spies, Corps, India, Inca. Open to others, or to leave this to the mapmaker.
As for green's credentials, Xenu will be primary turnplayer, he's lost every game he's ever played at RB, and he doesn't listen to advice well. So, we're doomed. And, Brick apparently is an ardent supporter of Auburn University, which calls his good judgement into question, thus confirming his greenness. That and he may not have won yet, I didn't get his Civ resume. And I didn't win 44 and probably won't win 49, and ded-lurked Xenu in 29 until he made me ragequit then take over again.
