The first power increase is when he discovered a tech, can't be AH as he doesn't have the pre requirements. It's either Fishing or Mining. I think it's Mining due to him going worker first, as we would have seen another increase in power increase if he had gotton warrior. Also he needs something for his worker to do so I guess it's mining. He is also working a 3 food tile, only has we didn't see a GNP increase and an MFG decrease of 3. Also u said his score increased again, then I think he discovered another tech, although we have no clue which one it is at this point.
Hmmm...he is Expansive, so Mining + Worker first + Some other tech (Agriculture?) and now building a Warrior (Hence switching to food) makes sense. At the least, I think we are safe.
