It's natural that turns are taking longer- in the beginning of the game it's just moving a scout and pressing enter, less if you have bad barb luck. Now the turns take a lot of complex thought and most people have to take time to consult with their team mates. And as already mentioned, war splits cut the available playing time in half for at least two players. We're still managing more or less 1 turn / day, I don't see how people could be doing a whole lot better.
