Turn 5 - 3800 BC
The turn rolled over a minute after I woke up, good timing.

Also, the case for settling on the pink dot as previously described by Dhalphir just got that much more convincing.

I realize we didn't discuss where to move the scout, but it seemed straightforward to move there. Next turn, the scout should move north, which will reveal 1 desert hill and 1 plains hill (from my fog reading). On turn 7, the scout can move 7-8 to land on that desert hill and then after that potentially turn east to look out for barbarian animals.
The demographics are shown below. The team that took an extra turn to settle likely has a completely landlocked capital. In fact, I'm a little worried that (assuming everyone has gold), they were somehow able to get that in their capital's working radius.

Maybe I'll still be around when turn 6 rolls over, but I would suggest whoever is up first can play the turn for simplicity.
After this turn, some teams will likely have finished their first technology, either Fishing or Hunting, so we should keep an eye on the scoreboard.
