Looking over our early game plans (http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/showthrea...#pid408377) , looks like we can now amend Turn 32 to include beginning to move the settler to the desired location.
I've been reading through a lot of player threads from _past_ Pitboss games.
Nobody seems to have war on the brain for at least 50 turns. Even athlete's chariot rush on rego's second city in PB2 was past turn 50, because it was happening at the same time as whosit's buildup against Korea.
With that in mind, what are the thoughts on going double settler? Is it worth it? I am saying this from the point of view of someone who lacks the skills to math this out far enough to find out what it would take.
I guess it would depend on if we found a great site for it, but given that we are non-Financial in a game with a large percentage of people who ARE, I feel like we need to run some kind of gambit to make sure we compensate in other areas. Sure, we find gold, but mapmakers don't give one civ gold and no one else, so it's not really an advantage.
