I disagree here. The point of an NAP is to make a firm commitment to doing something, both for us and the other party. If we feel like we're going to sign an NAP that's too long for us, why would we sign it? For us, an NAP up to and including turn 60 is fine since we have no desire for war and we need to protect ourselves in case we can't get horses connected quickly. That 10-turn cool-down is also pretty stupid, in my opinion. It just means we have an NAP that's actually 10 turns longer than we signed up for.

Good point, there. I've found that people who update their threads most frequently are also most engaged in diplomacy. Oh well, it can go either way --- too much communication might lead to some mishaps here and there (greater probability for disagreements), but it could also mean more frequent communication and cooperation.
