Turn 20 - 3200 BC
So, for the first time in this game, we're on tops in score.

Anyway, everything went as planned. We started on Mining, which will get a known civ tech bonus from Team Care Bears (of India, which starts with Mysticism and Mining), right?

With AH in, our worker started pasturing the pigs this turn. We also make the planned switch to settler production. We will re-grow the city once the pigs are done, finishing the warrior (who will protect the worker later) and then investing a turn into Stonehenge.

Oh, by the way, we made contact this turn.

For those of you wondering, we do have horses nearby --- two of them, in fact!

One's a bit far north, but it's still rightfully in our sphere of influence, so we shouldn't have issues getting it. Meanwhile, the source to the south is closer, so we might consider settling there for our third city. It gets us strategic resources, a new health resource, and the potential for ships and coastal trade. Best of all, since we're Creative, we don't need to make the city get horses in the first ring. Let's pray for some easily-accessible seafood.
In the short term, the revelation of horses doesn't do anything to change our micromanagement plan up to turn 33 (and likely beyond that).
Finally, we have the obligatory demographics screen.

I just sent Team Care Bears our message.
Quote:Dear Yuufo and Bisons of Team Care Bears:
Greetings! Our exploring scout has come across your capital, so hopefully we can start out diplomacy on a positive note. Our team members are Dhalphir, dick76, DMOC, and TeddyKGB, with DMOC and TeddyKGB playing the majority of the turns at the moment. Your team is the first who we have made contact with; out of curiosity, have you found other teams yet? Once we make contact with more teams, we'll be glad to assist you in meeting any of them if you haven't done so already.
We are to your west. Our capitals are about 15 tiles apart, so there's ample room for both of us to grow excellent cities between our capitals. In addition, there's a nice coastline up north of us that might be useful for establishing early trade routes between us.
Meanwhile, since we're neighbors and it looks like we've each got plenty of room to expand, we're hoping to initiate the first steps of what might become a long-term alliance. In particular, we are extremely open to working together with by possibly performing the following tasks: (1) sharing wonder plans to minimize wasted production, (2) sharing gold to help speed up one's tech path or possibly to purchase units from one another, (3) negotiating an acceptable border agreement once we've explored the map in further detail, and (4) possibly combining our armies together to conquer lands for mutual benefits.
Naturally, if there's any communication between us that you'd like to be confidential, we'll be glad to honor that request. Our team members also plan to honor all agreements we form in this game.
Obviously, these aren't the only things we might do in the future. If you have suggestions, feel free to offer them, as we're fairly amenable. As a sign of our cooperative intentions, we'd like to know if you're interested in a non-aggression pact with us so that neither of us wastes military in a (potential) early war that would no doubt come as good news to the other eight teams. Since it's around turn 20 now, we'd like to offer a non-aggression pact up to and including turn 60, with the possibility for renewing it at any time to any extent as long as we both agree. We can also agree on an espionage clause; how about us putting enough espionage points on each other to see demographics, but nothing more after that?
We look forward to hearing back from you.
Best regards,
DMOC
