Hi guys, a bit late for the show. This is the first lurkers thread I read. Interesting stuff :D
This game is actually the first game here where I know at least some of the players and will be interesting to lurk. So far I had some reasons not to, but now I think I will
For me it was surprising to see how frivolous the attitude and personal relations between players actually are
Not the players in this game, but generally players in the community.
I am about to just start reading the actual players threads to be able to comment game decisions, etc, but so far few things made me an impression in this thread and wanted to comment on:
This is actually pure Apolyton thing. It comes from the Poly diplo-games, which means the main purpose of the game is to tell smart, witty, inspiring and original stories, where every of the players presents the in-game events trough his prism for other players amusement, or to mock the other players, to make instigations, or outright lies while in-game success comes as far secondary goal. Then people vote for who is the best storyteller and he is considered winner in the game. Many times the diplo-games winners are not at all those who win the game with in-game means.
This surprises me, I was told LP is actually respected member of the community. Which surprised me seriously back then initially.
Interesting who is it behind the Amrap nick? I know all the players who can know about this incident and yet I never heard this nick yet.

I haven't been reading the threads here, but this is a bit inflammatory for my taste. Unless there are specific actions you guys can point to where these guys are doing wrong I think this is uncalled for. I'm not a particular fan of LP (understatement) but there's no need to flame him (or Maga) unless they are doing something nefarious in this game. And even if they are wouldn't the better course of action be to call them on it, get it reported to whoever is serving as admin, and be done with it?
I know there's an element of the pot calling the kettle black with me saying this, but just because I've been an asshole in the past doesn't mean I can't point it out when someone else is doing it here. If it's deserved criticism of these players, then by all means flame away, but at least do it in a way that their admin can handle the situation, whatever it is.
For LP specifically? There are enough instances of him double moving for the former, and as for the lying scumbag part, ar you really going to disagree with that?

Remember, these aren't CFCs best players, unless ou consider the Maga/Jozan/Slaze team to be made if CFC players. I don't think, honestly, that any of CFC's best players play mp. CFC has a whole tier that does stuff that still drops my jaw. Give them an interest in mp and a little experience, and there are only a few people that I'd bet against them.
