Suttree ruined his game by playing really weak the first 100 turns.. We are just an excuse.

But yeah, I agree with you. We are not in a hole yet and probably won't be unless we get a streak of unlucky rolls during the critical battle. Let's just keep making as good decisions as possible and make the most out our situation.

Interesting scenario!

What if he's roading to put his stack (plus units we can't see) 1SW of Hastings, and leaving his units in plain site to make us worry (legitimately) about Jamestown and leave units where they can't respond to such a move? <paranoia>
We know for sure that suttree has put two turns into chopping that forest (that was visible at the end of the last turn) and I think suttree has not had time to put more worker turns over there.
We have the visibility of the area S of Hastings and roading that forest would not allow suttree to bypass our troops. I have also thought about different kind of scenarios where suttree starts moving his troops towards west using defensive terrain, but that seems both unlikely and not terribly threatening.
One scenario for suttree would be to attack Brick despite the jungle defense and move his troops onto the tile SE of Hastings. If that happens, let's hope that Brick takes two axes with him..
