Okay, looking forward to the turn 100 report.
In the next few turns, I'd exercise caution and whip as many axes as seems reasonable. Here's the thing: I can't help but feel that Asterix has extraordinary influence on Rome. Why else would Rome only choose to communicate with Asterix despite them being far away from each other? (I asked Asterix in chat, and he said that Rome has limited time to communicate, but he cleverly avoided the issue as to why they only found the time to talk to him.) Thus, Asterix might make Rome attack us, even though we're clearly the worst target for them.
We may also consider asking other teams for a loan, e.g., ask Orgynized or India 100 gold now to help us finish Construction ASAP, with the promise of a one-sided NAP, i.e. for 50 turns we will not attack them but they may attack us if they wish, and a return payment later in the future.
Out of curiosity, how many forces do we have down south, and how many praetorians do you think we could hold off?
Finally, we should probably agree to the India or Asterix resource trade. I'd suggest India, since I'm not really interested in helping Asterix any more. This way, we don't need to stretch ourselves in settling far away, and 5gpt can easily be met by having 1 small city build wealth.
