Wow, reading some of the other people's comments in this game, I can pretty much tell what everyone thinks of this game.
I don't mind if people are complaining about us playing suboptimally (say so in the lurker thread, and after the game is over I'll check it and make a note for myself), but if Commodore and others don't like our reporting style, why don't they actually tell us? I don't think any lurker has asked us to post anything specific. We don't have to follow it if we don't want to, but it at least gives us a general guide of what a lurker would be interested in. If people are complaining about the length of this thread, then that's why I have a table of contents link in the first post that will lead people directly to a time of their interest.
Edit: Interesting, still no action from Rome? Say, I wonder what an optimal player would have done with Rome as a neighbor ... one amusing thought I had was to join a future full-diplo game (unlikely to happen though) with optimal players and play just as Rome has played, i.e. nothing but praet after praet.
Edit 2: Was the plan to whip the settler in Caltech? I notice no score decrease from us in Civstats.

I agree. PB14 is a disgrace to this site.

To expand on this a bit; these guys are awesome, and shouldn't be lumped with the PB14'ers at all- besides Yossarian nobody in that mess is reporting anything with an actual focus on, well, reporting. These guys are newbies, sure, but I like the cuts of their collective jibs.
