Sorry, but it's these kinds of players that ruin full diplomacy games.
I don't know why Haram decided to do this, nor why Barteq is shooting himself in this game and why he's refusing communicating, since he is not playing to win. Next time, we should just ban players like Barteq in future games. I'm trying to play to win, which is why I invest significant time in terms of planning and writing diplomacy messages (such as the one in the previous post!).To expand on this: I recall seeing a 'tier list' of players somewhere. Let's suppose I'm playing in one of those games against all the top players. If that ever did happen, I'd still be playing to win, and would still develop a detailed micromanagement plan, etc. But suppose I instead decided to follow Rome's route this game and take a civ such as Egypt and, upon getting horses, just pumped and pumped out war chariots all the time and ignored development to the point where I'm obviously out of the game. Full diplo or not (I don't think it would matter) all of my neighbors in that case would be flaming me and saying stuff like "I'll never play with him again," kind of like what people were saying about Nakor in Pitboss 13.
