I agree with Xenu totally on the setup.
I will say though, that I think we *need* to make this a one continent game in the manner that torusland does, which is basically one contiguous landmass interspersed with lakes. The reasoning being that a more continental game risks creating more wars then can be easily handled with timezone slots, while a torusland-esque game will keep roughly the same number of enemies as you expand through them.
