In the south I'm planning to settle on the plains hill next to deer on T95. That is not especially valuable city on its own, but getting silk improved will be great for us (and because silk will be in the 2nd ring, the city must be settled well before we actually get Calendar). But I think OH would like to hear where would you settle our next cities (without the boundaries of our existing plans).
I was wondering if settling NE or NW of deer for 1st-ring silk would be better, but if you think you can pop the borders before Calendar comes in then the extra food from lighthouse lakes is far preferable.
After that we've got a bunch of uninspiring tundra to settle which I'm a bit stumped about the best path for... If we get Calendar soon then the capital can almost work all the tiles we can cottage so another sharer-city isn't necessary. Red seem like obvious sites, orange are quick to set up and cover every useful tile, blue get us an extra city on FIN coast, but need one border pop to get one city going. Also what order do we go - the best city (five lighthouse lakes

I try to include the updated sandbox into turn reports in case you guys have interest in simming/testing stuff (or just want to criticize my actions)!Based on past games I would say that I will still have energy to keep the sandbox updated (and do some test runs) for about 10-30 turns. Then it probably starts to become too much of a work and the focus will gradually shift from micro to macro anyways. At the very least I want to continue planning until we have CoL and Calendar, because those will be jumping points for our civ and planning around them should still create significant value.

More general observations - I think Englebert is a good candidate to work specialists, while Butterscotch has a lot of cottages we want to grow and can build workers out of food to slow growth before we get Calendar. Building our workers in our northern food-heavy cities and gradually percolating them south to develop the new cities seems sensible, as there are a few tiles in-between that still need developing. I'm keen to cottage the grass hills around Alfie...
Does anyone have marble that they would trade us for an MOM attempt?
