Our scout Hernan has spent a disturbingly long time flexing in front of the mirror since hearing you'd described him as "mighty". We just haven't had the heart to tell him the truth yet. Still, although Hernan couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag, at least he can run away pretty quickly - we'll meet civs faster and gather more information than those who start with warriors.
We ARE willing to share these benefits with you; in other words, we agree to your request to exchange information on other civs and where to find them. We hope this gesture shows our friendly intent and desire to cooperate. I'll tell you right off the bat that as of now A4 is the only civ we've made contact with.
As far as a NAP is concerned. Yes, that is the likely outcome if our relationship - as it appears to be doing - develops along friendly lines. At a minimum we'll require a better knowledge of our surroundings and a fairly specific agreement with you regarding aggressive settlements; let's put it another way - we would be suitably unimpressed if we were to sign an NAP and then see you plop your second city 4 tiles from our capital. Having said that, since a NAP would be mutually beneficial it's something we're willing to start working towards.
I think that's a good place to start. Let us know how things are going. If you're fair and show a willingness to work with us, you'll find us to be a strong ally.
Meatbalz for DIM
better? if so i'll send it in a couple of hours.
not sure it's necessary to ask whether they've met anyone else
1) because they damn well better tell us since we told them

2) because it's somewhat unlikely on turn 10 given their starting warrior came towards us
if it's ok with you guys, i'd like to NOT ask them for any info with this initial message. i think the tone of our message makes it seem like we're giving away a lot more info than we actually are, and i'd like to see if they reciprocate.
if they're open, we can really start exchanging info. i'd like to get an idea of what the land around their capital looks like, especially to get a sense of how many different starts there are (at least 2 given several teams were working 3-food tiles)
edited to say: crosspost with dazed and whoa, spooky how we even use the same language and all
