I'll say this: If we play on, and the game gets back to me in a state other than desperation, I'll make it my business to get sublights or better, by hook or by crook.
We've not reached the point (by any means) where we can auto-pilot to a domination victory, but I think we've passed beyond the point where a diplo victory would be cheap: With the empire we've built and the players we've got, we should be able to handle anything the AI throws at us from here on out.
