I would say this qualifies, as you have amply demonstrated. (I think the "diplomatic" win we rejected in 2400 was kind of a case of the game recognizing when the player has won and offering the official victory, as Sirian notes it often does.)
Honestly, I don't think even Final War would have challenged us much after what you did to the Alkari; there'd be more alien fleets to stop, but it's not as if anyone had better tech than the birds. I'd have been happy with any choice you made in the election, and unless someone gets Class X planetaries soon, that was the last election in the game.
