Turn 79
OT6mn surrounded my scout and then offered a cease fire here (you can just about see through the interface - top tip, click on your world map to move the view around while stuck in diplo). I know there is another chariot on the tile marked "c" which I could road and have a spear kill, but I wonder if its possible to use teleporation mechanics to save the scout?

Make that: I know there *was* a chariot on that tile. Looks like they're off to do some more piracy. Xenu, how come you haven't been spamming
's all over their thread?

They can hit G.Moff Parkin on T81 and if they can beat me to the turn roll I won't have got a spear in the city. I think I need to stay at war... (Yay! Teleportation!)

You'll notice that I've spammed a few city signs around the place. I need to settle the c by the horse ASAP, so I'd really like to get my stack onto the horse tile to allow me to control things. I offered white peace at the end of the turn, in the hope I can get a settler there quicker than OT6mn.

Thanks, I don't think this is a comeback game unless other players attack both my neighbours giving me a lot of time to regroup.
If I can use staggered peace treaties and build some more chariots then Pazuzu might fall. Its a huge stretch from their core, so (unless I'm their only neighbour) they shouldn't be able to hold all of their army there.
1. With 3-move galleys I have to assume that's what they're planning.
2. Establishing a horse city is the most important thing now. Then getting construction, walls and catapults makes me safe for a while and might allow me to make some slow progress east or west... This is avoiding economic techs though, so becoming Sutree seems like my best option.

Fintourist Wrote:congrats for getting the capital back! I was going to wish you luck for an amazing comeback, where you rely on being just spiky enough so that wou won't be attacked, a lot of destructive wars happening all around the globe and slowly grinding yourself back to relevance and to a beautiful T350 victory. However... Gavagai's border city is so damn aggressive that it feels almost like a commitment to attack you latest in the mid-game.

Fintourist Wrote:TBH, now that OT6mn has retreated that might be a too greedy play from Gavagai, because you should be able to remain spiky still for a good while and now he definitely has a border where he needs keep a decent amount of units and he might need to attack you instead of some kind of a more lucrative opportunistic target. Of course, Pazuzu is settled on a nice defensive and tactical location so it might be just a solid powerplay, time will tell.

Fintourist Wrote:About the delenda est vs. sit tight: As you know, I don't believe in sub-optimal playing just to spite someone who screwed your game, so if you are going to make moves against OT6mn I think there are two requirements (assuming the you don't believe that it will improve your actual winning chances when it would of course be OK):
1. You need believe to some extent that those guys will be coming back and attack you in the future
2. You believe you can fight OT6mn in a way that you actually achieve positive exchanges (hammer-wise or through achieving something in the strategic sense)
