That is to say, lying about what the GM has said is not appropriate, and deserves some form of censure. This is why you should never discuss the GM's communications.
It was a very fine line, and it put me in a bind. I thought about it for a good while, but decided the best thing for the game was for me to remain silent, leaving it up to the group to decide whether or not he was full of it. I know Gaz felt pretty bad once he realized what he had done, so I doubt it is likely to happen again. All things considered though, IIRC that rule was put into place to prevent people from copying a Mod's specific writing style in order to achieve greater credibility, and the wording of the rule strongly implies direct quotes are the problem. Gaz didn't break the rule to that point in my opinion.
