The intention of the rule was to make it impossible to clear oneself by using communication with the GM. With the way Gaz spoke it was absolutely clear he was cop and he got those results. Scum if they wanted had no chance to challenge that in anyway.
I could have said "Short before the game started BTW the GM asked me if I would prefer to play Hider or tracker instead of PGO" and used that to meta-imply that I'm town already. How would you have looked at that?
Alternately I could have as easily used: "Where I scum I would have left the game after Gazglum Mod-use"
Both would be true-statements and both would be a cheating way to clear myself.
What's stopping scum from using any of those? Nothing.. So how does it clear anyone if both alignments can do it?
