Actually in my mind it served the purpose of helping DP's cover. DP's posts were kind of noobie scum and someone was going to attack him. If I did it convincingly and a bit harshly then I could get him to respond a bit more townie and he wouldn't have to face a more determined attack from someone else. If I came off a bit scummy, that was actually a good thing because I could handle the pressure better than DP. And that really early harsh interaction helped pseudo distance us in case one of us ended up lynched. I thought it was a back and forth that people would remember and set a first impression of how people would view the two of us.
I had a lot of time during Day 1 and it really played out exactly as I hoped, I felt like I'd convinced some major townies of my townieness but left enough doubt that I wouldn't be a likely nightkill target. Apparently I even got Zak
But it was a really fun game in part I think because it felt like pretty slim odds there for a while at the end of day 2 start of Day 3. And in part because I got to play the wise old vet who gets to teach young pups.
