Relating to OH's fresh report in the previous page I promised my regular ranting post..
..I have to say I am truly confused re what is going on in Will’s head. I mean, he was the first to initiate aggression by killing our scout and from there it has been just bad relations. I can see that he would have liked to settle for the stone himself, but our city is pretty much in the middle of our border and as we are IMP/IND it can’t be that big of a surprise that we prioritize that. There are still multiple city sites available at our border that he could grab, so it’s not like we put him out of options.
William’s start has been quite slow so maybe he lost a settler to a panther and decided that the most fun thing to do is to role-play Toku and try to drag us down. I mean, is that really fun? Is that really what you want to do towards other players that are hoping to succeed in a big game? Just wanna see the world burn?
Oh well, I guess we have played enough games that nothing truly surprises anymore and so far the damage has been limited. But still, as written earlier, these early conflicts are simply really really costly for your snowball and even in the best scenario we will be playing catch-up this time. Losing that spear was a bonus.
