And maybe I can do another actual report for once but every time I think about doing so it just seems to overwhelming. I guess responding to questions like this is enough of a motivating factor for me to at least say something though.

Given how your last report looks...sounds like a case for lowered expectations!  Any chance of a report or two of the 'one screenshot plus one sentence' variety?

Well I suppose this turn is as convenient as any for a semi-brief one screenshot post.




So the plan from ages ago was to chain my Taj and first GA together and then get two more great people from my capital and second city shortly afterwards to get a third GA to push me the rest of the way towards Rifling. My cap was 83/17 on Great Scientist vs Great Artist due to working 5 scientists plus Taj and NE GPP while my second city had an assortment of GPP but no artist points and very few scientist points. The GP in my second city came first at 1190 and well, the result is as shown   The scientist came at something like 8% odds which is quite silly. Of course I immediately worked all artists in my capital to try and push that up and managed to get almost 50% odds on the artist but no luck.

So now I have two scientists, and neither settling nor academies will pay for themselves in any reasonable time frame compared to just popping them. I can double pop Astronomy though which is nice which makes going for Krill a more appealing option. Not that fighting either Krill or Gavagai would be easy with how crazy their demos are at the moment, even accounting that they're both in GA.
