Glad to have you mackoti, Frozen, Dulland, Piccadilly, Flunky and Ichabod! I'm honestly excited about each of these signups
I think it makes a lot of sense to cap signups at 27 players. CtH has 55 leaders, and this way we can have 2 leaders and 1 civ for each player in the random pool selection, which is, regrettably, clearly winning over my favoured crazy snakepick
That means there are just 2 slots left!
Regarding voting, I propose that votes can be changed freely now, but should be
locked in on February 1st.
Notice that some players have put conditions to their signup (afaik No WW, No Score, map not too cramped, map not too big
- I think 120 tiles per player is shaping up as the sweet spot that everybody can live with?), so please consider your vote on these, if you really want to go against those red lines. So far it's looking good though, and everybody who had dealbreakers should be content.
Since pindi posted "no - i'll just pour over pbspy if this is on" on the "City count tied to espionage (like in PB54)" option, I want to point out that if we go with no score, as it seems, that is not possible (it is true that the city count option makes no sense with score on). With no score this option can't be gamed, and your knowledge of the other players' city count is only a result of your in game decisions - espionage points spending and scouting.
Finally I would also like to ask Noble whether he would like to be involved in the mapmaking. I would trust that if he were, the map would turn out great, with little to complain about from the players. As it clearly is a huge effort, maybe we can find a team of mapmakers? So, divide the tasks of rolling random maps, design starts, balance / connect starting positions, check resources, and so on. The upside is that we have more than a month to go yet for the targeted start.
