Airstrip One Palace Court - No Players!

Yeah, this game has heated up so fast that it's almost getting delusional. Ruff is talking about possibly marching his Prats to go attack Broker (?!), half a world away in the southern tundra. Bizarre.

Whoever can stay out of the fighting and expand peacefully is going to be the winner. That is, if anyone can manage to do so!

So shady just passed up on razing an empty city by ZPV. Granted, there was no way for him to know the city was building a granary and there was no troops nearby, but I still think it's a mistake to not chance it and go for the raze there. He could probably take out ZPV right now if he pushed Immortals...

I think Krill has handled his situation masterfully, and I actaully think he's in the best position of anyone right now, amazingly enough.

Edit: nevermind, I guess ZPV DID have warriors in the area.

I don't know why so many players are considering the Horse Archers rush (Krill, ZPVC..., Broker). They already knew all the players have phants in the capitals. And Horse Archer vs Phant is always <0,01 odds nomatter the terrain.
Really weedy smoke

I wouldn't say they're smoke but rather events have overtaken those plans: when ZPV hatched his Numid plan shady was outside the UTA (and the NUTA didn't exist) so there was no way that shady could have got Construction in time. With the NUTA & the loss of two workers, I don't think ZPV will be able to conquer Persia, though he may take a front city, and pillage.

Krill's in a 2 v 1 so he needs to consider ways to make a quick strike, so an HA rush is about the only option. Again, it may be that the UTA's tech pace takes this off the table (looksl likely as the Lins have Feud). Unlike ZPV, he hasn't committed to this strategy by settling an outlying spot.

Broker is joining in the anti-Krill war, but he's so far away that it only makes sense for him to send mounted units.

Then hit Kalin as hard as I can and just push straight through him. Once I revolt to HR and get wines hooked up I can double whip all my cities twice without it affecting my growth at all, which is like giving me an extra 12 WE over what I can build normally, and I also have over 1000 hammers in chops to use.

This isn't going to be pretty, but I don't think Kalin can come out of this one alive. I don't even need iron to pull this off, cats will defend well enough against the spears. So now speed is of the essence...
It'll be interesting to see how much damage Krill will be able to do, especially if it hits when the UTA has collected enough troops to mount a significant counterattack.

Sounds to me like Kalin thinks he has a NAP with Krill until turn 120, and that Krill thinks otherwise (or doesn't care).

Where's that information?

Kalin doesn't seem to update his team's thread.

In rego's thread he posted a mail from Kalin, which had this excerpt:

Kalin Wrote:This being said I would expect our research to drop now, as we build
more cities and start preparing for the war with krill, whom I expect
to attack either us or sunrise on T120 precisely!

Which will make things interesting, considering Krill had this to say in his thread:

Krill Wrote:I can research Construction by t96. I can double whip out 2 eles from AA and CC through FF within 4 turns. I can chop out 4 cats and leave all of DDs forests alone (saving them for Angkor Wat for a Prophet for the shrine). If I move up all of my workers from the west I can get another 2-3 cats without any real problems, and that would leave me with 2 HA and the 5 chariots I have already built to redistribute as required.

That would give me a simple stack of 10 WE, 6 cats 2HA and 5 chariots by around t105. Add in actual production and I think I can get an extra WE or two, maybe an extra cat, which is an easy 20 units stack, even leaving defenders around. If I also move quechua around, I can slave an extra 3-6 times, maybe up to 10 if I keep fast movers back for happiness at CC, DD and EE, which makes it feasible to field a 30 unit stack, if I take my chances in the west.

I could attack by t110. That is in 22 turns, and Kalin is still expanding. I could probably get to his capital before reinforcements got there, raze it, then pull back if need be and play defensive if need be after crippling anotehr teams research. If he is left out to dry OTOH, I could just conquer all of his lands. I'll also have enough reinforcements pouring past EE to stop any stack sunrise could throw at me in its' tracks.

[emphasis added on both]

Though Kalin doesn't actually mention a NAP in that mail, so I wonder where he's getting the T120 number. Either way, those 10 turns is enough time for Krill to pretty near wipe out Kalin...

Well, it looks like Ruff is looking to switch allegiance to the UTA. Bad news for mh-Kodii, but much more fun for us hammer

Sounds to me like Ruff declared on mh, then thought it wasn't such a good idea, then used the reload to change his mind. The excuse of "not getting monotheism" sounds pretty weak. If that were the case surely he'd just email why the tech wasn't there, not just immediately declare war. Though ironically it might be best for him to declare on mh and join the UTA. The problem for us lurkers is that if the anti-UTA splits so soon then only the people in the UTA can win. I'm looking forward to a big 5 vs 6 war later on.
