Just home to eat, then back to work...
We got a picture from Plako showing copper 2E of the Whales.
That does change things, I think, so I'm waiting for your input before moving the settler.

I think we should still go with blue first. We really don't *need* that copper right now, we wouldn't be building anything with it anyway. Its nice to know its close to home, and we'll be able to defend it. Though it makes me worry a bit about where iron will end up. :P
As far as builds, Warrior -> Worker -> Settler makes sense to me.
I will have some time tomorrow to poke around with the game and see about reinventing our dotmap.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Played the turn. Settler moving towards Blue. Worker starting to road there.
Warrior for MP finished, we'll build a worker in 4t.
Mining will come in next turn. BW next or Agri?

BW first I'd say. We can get access to chopping and slavery quickly, then move onto Agri. Worker can pasture the pigs at new city first, then move onto the corn.
I promise I'll take a longer look at the game tomorrow, been a crappy week. :P

Ok, onto BW (16t).
Moved the settler, still needs 1t to get in place.
We saw Locke's settler moving west. Good for us!
The scout near Plako found water in the south between our civ's, so that southern site is not at risk.
Let's keep moving our scouts E and W and try to get the circumnavigation bonus!

I played the turn. Mostly just moving the scouting units around. Our lousy starting techs are definitely impacting us, as we have to keep focus on all the worker techs and our economy is going to suffer for it. As far as reveals go, just moved each scout in the general direction they were going in.
Settler is in place to settle next turn, warrior right behind. I really still don't have a city site that I really like in the north, they're all flawed. Took some SS, so I'll think on them a bit, and see if there's a dotmap I like better. Will also need to get a unit into the immediate West soon, to reveal the rest of that area.

Let's build another warrior after the worker, before a second settler to reveal the west. We can always settle that great site to the south and get our economy up with all the commerce there...
I think this will be a tough game with all the good leaders/civs taken out... and this difficult map...
Send a short message to Plako. Locke mentioned Adlain to his west.

Another day, another turn:
Blue founded, started it on a warrior but feel free to veto it for barracks or a scouting WB.
Second worker done next turn. What should be our next build...

Warrior sounds good to me. Probably a scouting WB next, followed by another worker. Definitely too cramped this early in the game to avoid some defense, even if all we can build at this point is crappy warriors.
In the capital, I'd say Warrior -> Settler -> Worker as a repeated trio until we have granaries and axes available to us. Probably makes sense to settle the copper site next and then start moving N and W. As I stated before, our only real hope to compete is to REX hard, since we have not much else going for us. Hopefully reduced maintenance counts for something.
Current tech plan: BW -> Agri -> Pottery ... Sailing? Then head on to Writing for Libraries? Or should we slip in mysticism after Agriculture for Monuments to pop borders? I think I've previously mentioned how much I hate building Monuments. I suppose the other option is just to have heavy overlap. I'm not opposed to that either. We need to get a good eye on all the territory in the west. Also need to figure out how to get that gold site settled, the extra commerce and happy would be stellar.

Lord Parkin build Stonehenge. Good call on this map, but never an option for us. He is one to watch. Good that he and Luddite are in the north is my map guess is correct.
Second worker finished in Greenland. Started on a warrior (1t). Greenland can grow to size 4 in 3t, so we could slip in another scout or 2t into a barracks before we start another settler. We can work a mined hill soon at size 4.
Scouting didn't reveal anything interesting.
