No, don't bother going to attack him. We'd have to go through jungle and on quick speed he's bound to get defenses quickly. It's much better for us to avoid the war and just defend.

Don't bother attacking the warrior, unless the warrior can somehow capture the settler next turn.

Okay, ordered the worker. Chariot done next turn in Calc. Do we go for a Settler before Oracle?

Good news, Kublai's warrior retreated from the hill, so our axe took it. No chariot in sight, so I moved that settler to settle next turn with the Axe for MP. Is that a good plan or do we delay and wait for the Spear/Chariot?

Do we whip the worker and build Rax and military or do we slow build the worker? Getting a road connection up to get copper and horses to MV.

Demographics are fine but we shouldn't take them too seriously this early in the game.

I would not suggest another settler before the Oracle - at this point of the game, it's late already.

Additionally, we can slow-build the worker in MV and then 2-pop whip a settler there.

Okay, Oracle ordered up in Calc (7 turns).
Will slow build the worker in MV and whip a settler there to go up north.

Differential Eq founded on the blocking spot. There is a wounded chariot close, but I think our Axe and the Spear+Chariot that will arrive soon will be more then enough. Just took the gamble.

Okay, got a Spear and Chariot in place now, so our second try should work.
MV will 2-pop whip a settler after the worker and then an Axe for more units there.

Kublai has chosen unwisely! (and I made a gamble and lost)

Science up to get Pottery soon, then Writing, or do we want Mono first for another religion??

I'll get a chop into Oracle and whip it after. Stupid game!

Ouch, that hurts. I wonder if he had tried to attack and would have reloaded if he hadn't? It's simple to do that in PBEM. But regardless we're a city down.

We should try and re-found the city with more soldiers this time, then Oracle MC and after that, try to expand away from Kublai while keeping a respectable force in the blocking city. I suppose we should try and continue attacking Kublai if we want revenge, but if we do that it will cost us the game.

He had good odds to win, so I'm sure he played it fair! Will get the city back soon....

Played the new turn. Kublai founded a city close to where our first scouting warrior was killed.
Worker will finish in MV next turn, so we'll start a settler and 2-pop whip it.
Oracle down to 5t, going to be ready in 3-4turns.

Kublai's power is spiking so we need more spears!
