This game is at an interesting point. I'm glad Ravus got some nice big AC raising events to bolster his (IMO) slightly flawed AC raising core strategy. The fact that there is a strong vampire player, and a potentially undiscovered method to make the AC plummet just add to the tension.

It's all building up for quite a thrilling climax. I'm looking forward to seeing just how much havoc those horsemen will wreak.

I still think Yersinia and Stephanos will be complete damp squibs, since they can be negated by the "Build 1 warrior/turn forever" strategy. But Buboes and Ars Moriendi? Much more interesting.

The only problem is that the only way we'll actually hear about it is if they happen somewhere Ravus can see.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

That's not reliable against Stephanos; he can end up converting your top defenders who go on to ravage your territory and/or beat up on your hastily constructed warriors. (Of course, he's also likely to end up suiciding against your walls.)

Yersinia's kind of a wuss, though.

If your top defender is a warrior, then what Stephanos has done is converted a cruddy warrior, who will be heavily wounded, and suicide against your city walls in short order.

I agree though, Stephanos isn't really strong enough to be attacking proper defenders. At least before he gets promos. If he attacks a fringe city, stall him with warriors. If he goes for the core he should be easy enough to take down quickly.

Reading the diplo from Yellow in Mist's thread, its pretty apparent he's just afraid to do anything. Not entirely sure why he's so timid, but I think he's just afraid to lose his units.

Mist: Go rush Sareln.
Yellow: IM RUSHING SARELN.
<builds a few horsemen>
<gets to Sareln's borders>
Yellow: NVM NOT RUSHING SARELN.
Mist: Go rush mackoti.
Yellow: IM RUSHING MACKOTI.
<builds a few more horsemen>
<gets to mackoti's borders>
Yellow: NVM NOT RUSHING MACKOTI.
Mist: Get some others to help you and seriously, rush him.
Yellow: OKAY DOGPILE ON MACKOTI.
<builds a few more horsemen>
<gets to mackoti's borders>
Yellow: NVM GONNA KILL RAVUS.

Any bets on whether he actually attacks Ravus? wink

I dunno, it defeats the point of playing Tasunke if he doesn't attack anyone lol

I agree.

I've never had a problem with those two in single player. It's worth losing a handful of units to get their equipment.
