Pretty sure I can confirm that this is a dead-end now.

Nice picures, Tatan!
I'll be at work, so feel free to move the scout for this turn.... great fun!

Seems I was the first one able to play again.

That land is really shit. Not only that it does not have any resources at all, it also is completely jungled, mostly consists of hills AND is missing any river (or even lake for irrigation, not that that would be possible most probably due to all those hills....). I honestly would be quite surprised if any other team has as bad land as we do with not even a halfway decent second city site.

Tbh I am not even sure if GLH can help much with that. Coastal cities are not the strongest anyway, but we haven't even found seafood. I'm really not sure what to do here. That island has jungle on it as well from what we can see, so it might not be better then our land. So... um... I don't know what to do. I can certainly come up with a plan for GLH and chances are we can get it, simply because we play on a Pangaea so it shouldn't be a priority for anyone. But that alone won't be nearly enough.

Grabbed the turn before going to bed early...

Annnd now there is nothing to do each turn whatsoever.

Man, I hadn't even though about that. Irrigation of the jungle from our river is outright impossible:

Well, I guess that means cottage spam on all those future flat grassland tiles...

Yeah, I would say we have quite the handicap on this map. But hey, that's what this game is about; play the hand you are dealt, even if it's only 9 high and you're pretty sure those two guys at the far end of the table both have flushes. bang

Guess we need to tech IW even before Pottery.... lol

I think we also should focus on getting a scouting WB out asap to see if the islands look promising... then we can think about that option.
And we might want another scouting land unit as well.

Did you guys read Lewwyn's comment about having met someone in the rain river wild (or something like that)? That might be promising...

Okay, ended the turn, not that there was a lot of movement involved...
Worker will finish eot, so we'll start a warrior before a worker?
Do we need that second worker already or can we build a WB before that to do some scouting?

Should we work the spice instead of the cows to get AH faster? Or doesn't it matter at all? Probably the last, but we needed a post!

Won't matter. In fact, it shouldn't even make it faster because my micro plan times it to 172/172 at EOT21. Just remember to work both spices on T20 (when the new citizen is available) and rice, spices T21. Till then all the time cow it is wink)

Of course that means that we have the rice-farm available on T20 but don't work it, but unfortunately thats the only way that works out. Otherwise we would need to either waste a worker turn or grow 1 turn later from 3 to 4 - reason is that working both spices gets us 16 beakers, while working the rice, spice only provides 14. And 15 is the treshold we need to reach for the 20% pre-req bonus to kick us up to 3 extra beakers instead of two.

So are we going to build a second warrior now? That's what I put a hammer into the turn the worker completed (which I did not report on, sorry) because it seemed the safest thing. We could also build a scouting workboat, though.

Also, since moving the worker to the rice immediately would have wasted a worker turn, I moved to the spice and put one turn into a farm there, and then the following turn moved him to the rice and started farming. I realize we are most likely not ever going to farm the spice, but at the same time hey, putting 1t into a farm cost us literally nothing.
