Lewwyn wants out.

The most cities, in the top GNP, and diplomatically only 1 NAP and in position to decide what you want to do who you want to be friends with. You could basically decide who wins the game and if played right could win the game. I personally have no desire to work through all the diplo that would take, and frankly I'm getting super burned out on civ.

I don't want to just quit because all the other teams have expressed a desire to keep playing and are having fun, but I didn't sign up to play the game on my own and I don't want to anymore.

If nobody wants to do it I'll keep "playing".

Earlier Qgggg also wanted to bail out of TEAM. I guess he didn't want to take over either.

That's a shame. Like he says, it's still a long way from decided. Would be nice to play it out with fully motivated opponents.

Yeah frown A pity none of the rest of TEAM are even interested enough to takeover once Lewwyn wants out.

A bit odd he's just given people a 48hr deadline for taking over - he's just played this turn so I would guess that means next turn he'll do something that he wouldn't do if someone was to takeover?

Yeah, declaring on Pirates, perhaps. He says he only has one NAP.

Tasunke taking over. He is unpredictable and I suspect that his civ skills are lacking. Assuming Dark Sorceror was his handle, he logged in out of their turn and whipped twice.

If Tasunke is in charge, TEAM probably won't win, but they have the power to screw us over. I'm not sure if we can rely on our NAP to hold. I probably need to chat with him to find out.

I can easily imagine him coming up with some extremely convoluted & over-enthusiastic rationale for why the NAP doesn't count anyway lol It's not going to be him on his own tho - sounds like Sian is also joining TEAM. I dunno what his civ skills are (I've not lurked any games he's been in), but from talking to him about the D&D game he's more level-headed than Tasunke and will probably try & keep Tasunke's feet on the ground.

Sian seems to be a solid, conservative player. He won in PBEM30, didn't do so well in 23, 27, 35. Tasunke has a history of starting games with a huge amount of enthusiasm, then losing interest.

Based on the D&D threads, Tasunke definitely has some interesting spurts of interest. But there's a curious and tactical mind behind all that, so when focused it can work things out with efficiency.

Strange message in the tech thread from Tasunke. Taking a full timer it seems. Maybe his enthusiasm has already faded away. Didn't expect it to happen so fast frown. Might be an idea to pause the game before the turn rolls.
