Hey, novice. I'm dedlurking, so no worries about spoilers or anything like that.

Are you sure you have a chance at The Oracle? Serdoa is Ramesses of Sumeria. This just screams Oracle. And you even started some turns behind him. And Serdoa is a pretty good micromanager.

The idea of getting Oracle seems to be a good one, but it's awfully risky in this map.

Obviously I'll have to follow him closely, and I'll need a micro plan that doesn't waste many hammers if I lose the race. I also count on Pling telling me exactly what Serdoa is doing. :D

One of the reasons I want to Oracle Monarchy is that if I grab all the good city sites that are in or close to my sphere of influence, that will tank my economy. That's why I'll need the ability to do hardcore vertical growth.

Well, at the moment I'm pretty sure he's going for BW ... certainly seems like something with a pre-req so it ain't Mysticism. I shall sound panic alarms with the first non-soldier points tech that shows up

Also, there are gems to our northeast.



So maybe we can just grab luxury sites for happiness and use those forest chops for e.g. Pyramids. We'll see.
