The Warrior survived, hooray! Two turns to heal. Any suggestions for a name?
Keeping with your naming scheme of animals, probably the animal that he killed: Lion.
Heh... then most of my units will also have to be called Lion, given that the map seems to be generating them to the exclusion of all other animals around me.
Might take a slight tangent and go with characters from The Lion King though, at least for the early Warriors and Scout.

The other Lion to the east popped its head up again. Moved the injured Scout back so he won't be attacked, and moved a Warrior forward into the forest. He could have attacked the Lion directly, but with only 73.2% odds of survival. This way, on the defence in the forest, he gets 96.4% odds of survival. Experience isn't important to me since these will be garrison units anyway, so it's far better to maximise our survival rate. (If this were a battle against a human player I'd of course take the 73.2% though.)
Discovered a Crab in the middle of the lake to the south. Could potentially found a half-decent commerce city 1S of the Incense post-Calendar - quite a nice resource when it's on grassland and not desert.

The Warrior survived his battle, hooray. Renamed units with a Lion King theme.
Settler #2 is on its way to the Gold site. The capital is now churning out Worker #5 before Settler #3. Our unit costs (both from supply and total numbers) are starting to creep up, but will go down a bit once we found a couple of extra cities.
The Wheel comes in next turn, and we'll immediately begin roading to the Gold city as well as hooking up our Copper.
Encountered a barbarian Warrior up north... crap. At least the average number of cities per player is still less than 2, so the barbarians shouldn't be able to enter borders yet (can anyone confirm?). Though I doubt that'll last for more than a few more turns. Building a Warrior prior to the Monument in Bonobo just in case... at least it doesn't slow down the Monument at all, since we'll get a chop there in 4 turns.
We've revealed that there's no land connection to the northeast in that area, so it looks like in the early game we'll only have to defend the south, southeast and northwest.
In the wider world, HitAnyKey built Stonehenge. Not sure that was the best move since he already has a source of culture in Buddhism... though it does guarantee him an early Prophet for his shrine I guess.

Hmm, a source of Gems to the northeast - riverside, no less. Might be worth going for Sailing early if there's a decent food source nearby and claiming it?
Haram whipped again this turn. Not much else happening yet. Wonder how Gavagai's coping against a mackoti rush?

Not much of interest happening domestically this turn. Here's an overview of the city site which will be settled on T45. One of the Workers nearby will chop the forest 1N of the city, while the other builds a road to the city then chops the forest 1S. Build order will be Work Boat -> Monument, both chopped out quickly.
In the wider world, someone got a Great Prophet. Stared at that message for a few seconds, since it's way too early for HAK's Stonehenge to have produced one - it was only built 3 turns ago. The only possibility is that DouglasQuaid as Egypt built an Obelisk in his capital and hired Priests before building his first Settler. Uh, not sure that was the best idea.

A relatively uneventful turn. Finished the chop into the Work Boat. Enjoying the Productive bonus in this game - though I suspect it's likely to get nerfed before the next one.
