I see seven has sent anither chariot to vusit. Get another spear down the to protect the workers that will be making their way to our horses. I wouldn't put it past him to attack just to capture any unprotected workers. But of course always keep a spear and axr in that city.

Not much this turn--I decided to build a farm with the worker 1N of Salmanca (since that city doesn't have any resources?), and I'm overflowing in Salmanca into a Spear because of Seven's chariot (which disappeared, but still). Also, Seven completed MoM

Thanks. I only just got back a few minutes ago after a long 9+ hour drive. So I probably would have missed it before time was up. And I'm basically too tired tonight anyway, so will be playing this next turn in the morning.

I saw you posted that you'd be gone next week in the PB18 PYFT thread--I assume that will be the same here? How are we doing here, and what should I be looking at as I take over for a week?

Sorry for the lack of reporting. Everything has basically gone down the toilet, and my total and complete screwup of this game has gotten me to lose almost all interest in it, sadly. For some reason I have more interest in PB18 and I'm probably doing worse off in that one than I am this one....but this one I'm just grumpy about. Especially considering this thing that happened end of last turn....




It's basically game over for me now...and I really don't know what to do right now.
I actually logged in to a diplo window from Seven offering Peace if I just hand him the city. I had to cancel the diplo in order to see what was happening....so I haven't yet ended the turn....
Giving him this city kinda screws me...but also not giving it to him also screws me since he'll just take it by force and kill my Axe/Spear in doing so. I've actually never handed over a city to an invader like this before...so I'm really not sure what to do.
Since you'll be taking over for me next week (or you can even log in and help this week), I need your thoughts.
It might also be better if you log in to take a look around yourself anyway, since there's no way I can report on how everything looks right now...especially since I don't feel up to it tonight and I'll be away all day tomorrow (going to a Ren Faire with my wife).

I haven't ended turn yet, but I'm going to bed shortly. I guess you aren't in a compatible timezone as me.
I should be able to get the turn ended before I leave tomorrow morning, but as it'll be an early morning of us trying to get out (it's a 2hr drive, and we want to be there by 9:30am), there's actually a chance I won't. So I would need you to log in to end the turn so that Seven can log in to play his.

If you play it, this is the options:
1) 2-pop whip the Chariot so when Seven attacks and captures the city this turn, it has 2 less population for him. End turn with us still at war.
2) 2-pop whip the Chariot. Offer the diplo back to Seven of the Peace Treaty and giving him the city..which will have 2 less population.
3) Actually be nice and don't whip anything, and offer the peace & city to Seven.

I really don't know which of the 3 options to do. Also if we decide to make him take it by force (such that he might lose one or two of the buildings in the city) do we retreat either or both of the units that are currently in it?

Anyway, will hopefully see if you had anything to say by the time I wake up in the morning.

I'd go with option 2--he probably doesn't care about two pop, and the whip is a defensible move (say, we were whipping an axe and hoped the city could survive). We need the peace if we have any hope of survival, but I certainly don't want to be nice to Seven in this game

Thanks for the PM, since I wouldn't have seen this until tomorrow otherwise...had just crawled into bed. And I wasn't subscribed to this thread for instant email notification.
As for the turn, I'll log in now and do that option. I guess that's our only choice. I just don't like the idea of handing someone a city..then again, I guess no one does and it is something that happens in these games often enough I suppose. Heh.

I mean, we saw what happened to me in PBEM58--that's finally over now, and I'm lucky to survive to the end
