[SPOILERS] Little Boy Cries In The Basement

Oh yea! We got it. Brimstone is still on growth mode, but it'll be quite formidable once running max scientists!
In other news.. Not much. It freaking hurts to see all the free religion spreads others get with their shrines. Ours did diddly-squat this game.

Who doesn't love 2 free scis as philo?! Nice. Planning a move, or gonna be all 'come at me'? :P

This isn't the right time for me to attack anyone, I have so many better things to do with my cities.

Sian is now preparing for an attack. His Soldiers count jumped like 70k last turn. I shouldn't be his target, but I will try to catch up in units anyway.

Pickle won the Liberalism race. He was running 100% tech slider for a while, I think. His GNP was crazy. Now it's back to what I would expect it to be.

I regret burning the Great Engineer. In hindsight, since I lost the Liberalism race, I should have gone for Nationalism and rushed Taj Mahal instead. Then again, I might still be able to do that if I pop another GE lol.

T100 - Platinum God

It's T100 and we're still in it. It's a refreshing feeling.
About to build some universities and then Oxford's in the capital.

Here's how Brimstone looks at the moment. Still has some room to grow. It'll starve for a bit while I get more tiles ready to be worked.

This is Mom's Knife, our wonder whoring city. I've gotten in the groove of building workshops after some modded games.

It's a little hard to read what with all the golden ages and tech slider swaps. I think we're doing fine despite missing out on Liberalism (and the free GM from Economics as well, I believe).

I should get ready to take advantage if Sian attacks one of my neighbors.

Aw someone just increased their tech slider this turn to take #1, I wonder if they're running at 100% or break-even.
It's interesting how much of a production edge I have despite the map being mirrored. I think it's due to my workshop builds and the little bit of extra land I claimed.
Falling 90k behind top soldier count is not something I'm happy with. This time it's Sian who jumped ahead, which is less threatening to me, but I still have 3 big cities set on military builds.
Tech-wise I'll probably get Printing Press next. Maybe work towards Cannons after that.

T105 - Calm before the storm

Pickle was building new knights and now has access to Cuirassiers. Could be building them just for defense against Sian, who's now the runaway in power.
We still have Open Borders so we don't need to worry about being surprise attacked by him. I'm keeping an eye on things.
I wish I could do the same to Sian. I offered him OB, thought maybe he'd accept if he's about to attack one of his neighbors. No such luck.
I've already reinforced the middle and building pikes in case Sian would attack me. In no way should he ever do that, but if he thinks I'm winning by a mile then it could just be a terrorist strike against me.

140k behind Sian in Soldiers, 100k after ending turn. Sian is the guy with the lowest production btw.
I'm teching for cannons now. A force of cannons and knights should be fine for defense. Throw in some pikes and muskets against two-mover-only stacks.

Two new cities, Moon Star and Sad Onion. Should have settled more of the coastal filler cities earlier, but was delayed by the military threat.
Starting Oxford's in the capital next turn. I'll throw the remaining chops at it, though it'll only take a handful of turns to build anyway.
Blue Candle has grown tremendously and just keeps going. It has 4 food resources, floodplains, boosted oasis, and the 2-food tiles aren't shabby either.

Sorted by tech. Capital is even crazier, I'm holding back scientists. I just spawned a great scientist, trying to spawn a merchant from Dark Bum and an engineer or artist from Mom's Knife for a 3rd GA.

T107 - Sian makes his move?

Pickle is moving his units to his Sian border, even most of his fortification from my border. They have OB with each other, I'm guessing Sian's stack is on the way to Pickle and Pickle spotted it.
Let's wish for a drawn-out war. Someone just got Taj Mahal this turn, IIRC it was Pickle. Good timing for him if so, can swap to war civics for free.

Hello from the alternate timeline! We had the equivalent starting position, so I'm curious to see where we concurred and differed in our settling and development choices. I've noticed one clear divergence, and I look forward to following along from here.

T108 - Psychological Warfare

We got Chemistry, which doesn't do anything else than improve our workshops at the moment. We were still #1 in Production, beating out Pickle in his Golden Age.
Greenline included a short message with his save file. All it said was "little drops of rain". This is how you freak out your opponent. Was happy to not be greeted by the war dec sound.
Everyone's reacting to Sian's build up now. I was momentarily #4 in Soldiers, then hopped back to #2 after ending turn.

Hiya! Looking forward to the comparisons. How'd you do in your game?

I suppose the results aren't a spoiler, since they're in the tech thread: the game ended on T118 with a concession to me in 1st and Khan 2nd, with Adrien coming 3rd and Ginger in 4th.

I noticed from your F1 screen that you're getting some foreign trade routes. What's the Open Borders situation in this game? Are there any resource trades going on?

Golfclap Well played. Congrats!

I got The Great Lighthouse and everyone canceled OB with me. I bought OB from Pickle for 15 GPT, the purpose was to keep an eye on him though, not so much for profit.
I know at least Sian had OB with both his neighbors, I've seen his units running around in their lands. I'll check next turn what the situation is like currently.
