Yeah, we had some prolonged discussion over agreeing that. Pegasus pushed us quite hard but we figured that if he wanted to put cities within striking target of ours, so be it. We fancy our chances on the cultural front given the headstart we have had. Pegasus will also be settling (I think) 1N2W of the cows.
zakalwe Wrote:Also, you seem to be making way too much money. You should build some more cities.
Don't encourage him. In actual fact, DMH will be training a settler straight after the barracks (which is nearly done), which may be accelerated with a chop. That settler will found our 10th city by the pigs. After that, we will expand abroad before backfilling our homelands with weaker cities.

Idle hands or not, the update is appreciated. (It'll be even better when I can see the pictures!)

You're welcome.
One thing we want to micro when the time comes is to have just enough beakers invested into CS when our prophet pops that we can finish the tech with a bulb on the same turn, and immediately revolt to Bureaucracy and Organized Religion.
A great prophet will give us 1000 + (total pop points)*2 beakers (not subject to modifiers). Civil Service costs 1100 and something adjusted beakers. So we will need about 100ish beakers invested already. We should calculate the exact amount needed a turn or two before popping the prophet, and adjust our sliders accordingly.
I have to run.

Looking at the espionage graph it looks like Pegasus has built a couple of ziggurats. Which reminds me to do an EP update:
Ruff (443/85) - 189 required to see demos
Pegasus (135/92) - 73 required to see demos
Ad hoc (25/54) - 36 required to see demos
TT (140/109) - 72 required to see demos

I switched an EP from TT last turn. IIRC we're now running two on TT and one on Pegasus and Ad Hoc.
EDIT: We should probably change that to two on Pegasus.
I have to run.

Yeah, still no need for any on ad hoc for a while.

Played and sent turn. Somewhere a Great Scientist was born. TT founded his 6th city (Flipper - nil points). TT's chariot is in Britannia but our workers were already scheduled to be elsewhere. Not much else really. All going along nicely.
I will post some pictures tomorrow morning.

Ok, piccie time. The residents of Speed Limit complain about the garish adverts around their city. Given the growth in the city, they may soon be complaining about overcrowding too.
And also TT's chariot pops by Britannia (otherwise known as the Britannia Stadium) for a pit stop. It was in striking distance of our worker, but he had other ideas, hopping over to help with the continued cottaging of the floodplains. Big Slick to complete a library next turn. Two scientists have been invited for interviews - we expect a couple of vacancies next year.
We didn't guess right with TT's 'F' city, but then neither did Ruff (we both went with Fine Leg and have both selected Googly). Ruff's great wager idea has not really taken off.
From memory, I think that leaves our opponents' city count at 8, 6, 6, 5. We still have 9 but will found our 10th in maybe 5-10 turns.
I wonder if Pegasus's apparent GP farm is the source of the Great Scientist.
I switched EPs to 2/2 on Pegasus/TT.

Farmed flood plains? Doesn't Old Trafford have enough food already? Does he have enough happy cap and specialist slots to leverage the extra food?
Anyway, nicely played, Spaceman. Are you chopping a settler now in DMH?

Yeah the thought did cross my mind. We'll get a better view of the city next turn.

No but will be shortly. I used the four workers to quickly complete the roads between DMH and NFD for maximum flexibility. That lack of connection had been bugging me for ages. They can now move between those two cities fairly easily.
The newly built worker in DMH went to Gut Shot's plain hills to mine next turn.
Do you disappear later today?
EDIT: Woo! 1000th post!
