As I understand, Asterix more interested in gpt, not Stone.
He connected Spices this turn.
Also we have a TR with Yos now. Nothing special about his resources.
City#9 will be connected without road by shared BFC culture, but I did build road anyway, to plant city 1t faster.
Yuufo has Axe+Spear in Cheer.
Had to decide this turn:
- Finish an Axe in Stanford or delay it till T91?
- If delay it, what to build? Spear, Chariot, Barracks or something else?
- What to do with 2 workers near CM/Stanford? Cottage capital more?
I will chat with Arki in an hour, want to get his responce on your offer.
He moved chariot SW of wheat this turn. Stanford is safe for now, but I'm worried about UC too.
If I confirm Yuufo's timing on Mono, should we try to go for it instead Currency? We could finish it in 3 turns, I guess.
Hm … Monotheism, if we can get it in 3 turns and it's before Care Bears then it might be worth the gamble to try and get the religion. We'd get a +1 happiness in the relevant cities and the production bonus (a severely underrated aspect of the game). The delay to currency might be worth it if we can get the happiness in an important city (and we'll be getting gold from the fail Pyramids anyway).
2 workers near CM/Stanford: I'd cottage, yes, bt if the road connection isn't all finished towards Illinois that's important, too. We also can chop the last forest in the capital (there's 1 left, right?) for the lighthouse. Ideally more cottages would be in the Princeton area (riverside grassland) but the Stanford/CM area has larger cities.
Stanford: let's just finish it now and put the units in Illinois (or can play zone defense). If we want to delay it then a worker is probably a better investment. I really don't think Stanford should be building barracks.
Right now, we should not settle more cities beyond the 9th one (UT Austin) … we're going to be crippled in terms of maintenance costs.
Yuufo didn't respond to chat yet.
But I'm affraid we are too late for Mono.
India didn't revolt this turn, so its safe to say they are waiting to double revolt soon.
And Yuufo told me long before he is interested in OR.

Right now I am a bit worried about what your goals are. You seem not to share too much with me about your opinions and frankly I am not sure who are actually in charge of your civilization
knupet@gmail.com (03:43:18 18/11/2013)
I am also worried that you don't respond about my worries vs. India
knupet@gmail.com (03:44:51 18/11/2013)
By now we got an agreement that is running out and the only thing I can see that I am gaining from this agreement is a promise of being in peace for a while
knupet@gmail.com (03:49:07 18/11/2013)
When it comes to sharing of land, I do understand your concern of securing your gold. My suggestion is that one part is take the nothern area of the contested area and the other part the southern. Since you are concerned to secure the gold, I suggest you are taking the south area and I settle in north. I am by that promising not to settle a city in the area marked as contested by my previous screenshot
LexIVn (03:51:52 18/11/2013)
we offer u to settle city to share rice
we would like to settle city that share our wheat
it much close to our land anyway
we could share that forested river somehow by agreement on culture
LexIVn (03:55:05 18/11/2013)
as for India, we are not happy they running away with the game
we are triyng to fight their expansion as we could
LexIVn (03:57:18 18/11/2013)
our core isnt that good as yours,
and we are not fin
so we need some land to keep up with the rest
LexIVn (04:02:17 18/11/2013)
if u wanna play without deals, thats fine i guess
just make us to put less preasure on india and let them run away faster
knupet@gmail.com (04:03:18 18/11/2013)
I am currently looking for a proper suggestion for a NAP, using your suggestions that DMOC sent me
knupet@gmail.com (04:03:33 18/11/2013)
or what I think is DMOC at least
LexIVn (04:03:54 18/11/2013)
we are talking about settling 6 tile west from our capital in ur direction while allow u to settle 8 tiles from urs
its not even 50/50 split
LexIVn (04:04:05 18/11/2013)
yep, offer is official
knupet@gmail.com (04:06:24 18/11/2013)
well the thing is that I called it contested because it did say that the teams should settle at least 5 tiles away from the other capitol, but it did not say that everything should be split fairly and mathematically in half.
knupet@gmail.com (04:08:01 18/11/2013)
so since the only land that was "secured" was with a radius of 5 tiles, everything else is under the definition contested. I just felt nice and wanted to discuss it with your team, instead of just settling down
LexIVn (04:08:33 18/11/2013)
so do we
LexIVn (04:09:50 18/11/2013)
u'll have a nice city 2E from rice and u get more land than we do
LexIVn (04:14:00 18/11/2013)
the reason we didnt settle it, beside our agreement
is Indias fast expansion in all directions
u probably dont wanna us to be weak and easy target for India
India is pretty far ahead already
knupet@gmail.com (04:15:39 18/11/2013)
Going to sleep now. Suggestion for NAP and borderlands set. Good night :-)
LexIVn (04:16:28 18/11/2013)
gn, ty for talking
So it comes to this:
Quote:Dear DMOC and co. I propose the current deal
The second NAP between Eggheads and Orgynized
1. NAP until turn 125.
2. The teams has agreed to settle 3 cities in the contested area, two cities by Eggheads 1W of Wheat and 1SW of Gold, one city by Orgynized at the southern desert hill 2E of Rice.
3. No espionage spending unless we agree to both spend to even things out.
4. Open Borders.
5. No-scouting without consent.
6. A continuation of confidentiality of our agreements.
Does this sound fair?
I guess it best we could get for now, still its a better deal for Orgy, but oh well...
Did move chariot to look in to Antium.
Guess, Rome could Dow us now to protect the city, if they dont have another defender close.
Chatted with Yos, he said Asterix/Maga suggest some deal with Rome to attack India.
I dont like to do diplo with Rome indirectly, to be honest. Maybe we should try to contact them again?
Import/Export looks awfull on T89.
Best military power jumps from 105k to 118k. Guess Praets is coming.
Why do I have a feeling that the chat with Arki didn't go so well? I'm not sure what he means by our long-term goals ... those are pretty clear and he also hasn't made his goals clear. Also, has he been telling us about his concerns with Care Bears? I don't remember that from emails. By the way, I would agree to the deal Arki told us. And since we're not going to Monotheism, we really should start thinking about missionaries.
And we should, if at all possible, get Rome to attack India. Seriously, that's about the best realistic scenario that can happen. Can we talk to Blame Caledorn about this?
I'd avoid attacking their city ... our odds aren't that good (it's something like 70%, right?) and we don't want to be the one starting the war, or else they'll be targeting us first. We need more defenders there (e.g., that axe from Stanford, right?)
EDIT: I responded to Orgynized.
Quote:Orgynized,
Okay, that's fine. We officially accept the second NAP.
I saw your latest chat with Teddy, and I'd like to address the following points. Hopefully this will shed light on some issues and make us all on the same page.
1. " Right now I am a bit worried about what your goals are. You seem not to share too much with me about your opinions and frankly I am not sure who are actually in charge of your civilization"
Both TeddyKGB and I are "in charge" of the team ... Teddy's playing more of the turns at the moment but I'm still actively being part of this game (and updating our thread multiple times a day). Also, while we haven't been "sharing opinions" lately, it's been in both directions. According to our email list, there was a large gap between when we discussed our first deal, and when we restarted conversation due to our no-scouting clause. I assume that part of the reason was because of Lord Parkin departing from the game, but just realize that we're happy to share our thoughts about the game --- just feel free to ask. =)
2. " I am also worried that you don't respond about my worries vs. India"
We are (extremely) worried about India as well, but the only specific thing you've said to us so far (again, judging by our email history ... I'm not sure if you've had private chats with Teddy (and he would have put it in our thread anyway)) relates to missionaries. Right now, we do not have plans with India to "buy" one of their missionaries, and it was just a simple oversight for us that we forgot to discuss missionaries with you. There's been a lot in our minds lately, and I'll attempt to negotiate a fair payment for a missionary later. Finally, we have some deals with India, but they're nothing major (i.e. no permanent alliance!), though we do have a confidentiality clause with them (as we do with you) and we'd like to respect that.
3. " I am currently looking for a proper suggestion for a NAP, using your suggestions that DMOC sent me [...] or what I think is DMOC at least"
If I sign a message saying "DMOC" (as in the end of this email) then it's definitely me that's making the message. I'm not sure how this could be more clear?
Anyway, let's hope there is more cooperation in store for us in the future. The game is definitely getting interesting...
Sincerely,
DMOC of Team EggHeads
In order to resolve the difficulties arising from LP abandoning the Orgynized team, we will declare a "phony war" with Orgynized over the next few turns. Arikipeller will benefit from your support and patience as he takes full control of the Dutch civilization.
