With all do respect, I've enjoyed this game quite a bit so far and don't really want it tainted with unnecessarily hurt feelings. Instead of taunting each other verbally, maybe a more constructive solution to relieving your frustrations would be to pummel each other in the game.

Not defending cities properly and doing deals that involve cities can both have a significant impact on game and its balance, and frankly be pretty unfair to some players. Unfortunately in both cases it's pretty much impossible to say objectively where's the line between appropriate and bad behaviour/deal, and thus none of the actions can really be corrected by admin. I guess the only thing to do is to discuss questionable stuff after the game with all the facts on the table and then try to come up with some rules/guidance for next games or if that does not work simply avoid playing with players whose behaviour can ruin the game.

EDIT: Just to be clear, I don't know anything about the current situation and am just speaking on general level.

As I said before, I don't see any reason from a administrative standpoint for any intervention here, so this point for right now is moot.

Also, I think that's enough talking about the game and to other players about in game actions in the tech thread. That IS for sure breaking the rule for AI Diplomacy, so that needs to stop now.

Paused with an hour left on the clock.

Changing subjects... Whst are opinions on extending the turn timer while so many wars are going on? We seem to be pausing more turns than not

It's not clear to me what the upside is of extending the timer. The game can be paused now, we're not needing reloads, and a longer timer might just create less urgency to play, the same number of pauses, and even slower turns.

Mostly it's two things:

1. Getting stuck in diplo windows with pauses
2. The risk of missing a pause

Ideally: If everyone plays the same rate they have been, then there isn't any actual change in the time the turns have taken to roll, just less need for pausing.

Even as an RB noob I can see that that isn't how it works in practise. There are always people who will schedule their time to play based on how much time is left on the timer, and not a specific time of the day.

I've made my opinion on missing pauses quite clear - as far as I'm concerned, if you need a pause, it's your responsibility to ask for one, not expect everyone else to babysit you like you're a fucking child.

If you miss a turn because you didn't specifically ask for a pause, you should lose the turn. Tough luck, move on.

If we took that policy you can bet people would stop missing pauses in a real hurry. However, since we apparently don't want to be strict on this, extending the turn timer won't achieve anything.

eh, that would be really unfair to people in the second half of a turn split. If I was at peace, I could play every day and would never cause a delay. But I'm not, and thanks to that don't always have control over when I can play. Its a lot easier for something to come up when you your turn window is 5 hours instead of 24.

I am inclined to agree that it probably would just lengthen the turns. Sometime I feel like Azza plays schedules his turn based on how much is left on the timer. That's probably completely unfair and more a function of my eagerness to play and not being able to until he does, hehe (also our play windows are too close together, unfortunately). In a perfect world the solution is for those in the first half of a timer to play as soon as they can after a turn roll - but not every one chose to be in the first half of a timer, that's probably not practical.

If there are several people who are overwhelmed by the pace I'm ok with lengthening the timer a bit, but we should expect the pace to slow if we do that, because it likely will.
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.
