Even if I can hold onto it for a couple of turns only, it is a nice source of cash income.

Did the city come with the units already in it or do you have to send your own? Just curious as the the terms of the deal.
True. But that cash is not wasted. It fights Dreylin in disguise of Arab Rifles.
Edit: And in the end that money was part of the Scientific Method deal with soooo. Athlete decided that the citizens of Medina should be spared without incentive. ![]() In the end, I think I just draw my fun out of this game by things like Medina and the quest of for the lost continent. I have no illusions whatsoever about successfully fighting Dreylin. And however noble he might come across. By the time our NAP runs out, athlete will be dead and I have Rifles, Cav and Cannons on my doorstep again. All promoted. Is he going to pass on attacking the weakest civ and slog all the way to soooo? I don't think so. mh

I get your decision process when it comes to having fun and trying interesting things. However, do you think Dreylin would have ultimately attacked had you wholeheartedly switched from the Sooooo camp to his? sunrise089 Wrote:I get your decision process when it comes to having fun and trying interesting things. Or at least I would have gotten very angry with him. ![]() However, I did not want to wholeheartedly turn my back on sooooo and athlete. Am I rightly assuming (from the post count), that Dreylin is posting our eMail communication in his thread? I find his argument, that I did not pursue tech trades with him and Ruff to be a bit weak, as all the good techs were with sooooo and athlete. Calendar and Drama, I can live without at the moment. mh

Ok, Dreylin did not attack (yet).
That gives me a bit breathing room. Army assembling in Vienna (once again). Great Prophet born at 70%. Shrine next turn. Oxford due in 3 turns. Soooooo and me will work together on the expedition to explore the lost continent. Suspense, suspense. But I guess the lurkers have seen the map already???? I just hope it is not full of barbs. mh

even if full of barbs, he should still be longbowmen so nothing to be afraid of (except if you are planning to explore with an explorer).
If you want a good (SP) trick, you should rather send a spy, he will be able to pop any hut, even the protected ones and he has nothing to fear from military units (and you can send it in a caravel of course) |
