Can we attack that worker?
Almost feel like just doing it!
Keeping up the game for something minor as this.... really annoying...
Let's kill them! hammer

Let's kill them! hammer Yeah, I wasn't buying the whole "the AI just randomly takes over a civ every so often" nonsense. It didn't happen in PB 5 and hasn't happened in PB 8. I started reading the PB 1 tech thread and they had every problem except for that, although after about 20 pages I stopped reading.
Anyhoo, going to try and camp the copper if possible. He might be forced to withdraw the worker if I move to threaten the city, depending on whether there is another warrior nearby that can reach. If we're going to do this, that means we need to go full war mode. Are you fine with this?

That's not true, it did happen in PB8. It was pretty irritating to all involved there as well. Liking your thread so far, hope your second try goes better than your first!

You're not referring to Commodore are you? (June 4th, 2013, 18:14)Commodore Wrote: Looking up on CFC, looks like it was my Alt-Tab that did it. Alt-Q is retire, and next door. So doing turns in the middle of the night with a teething 10-month-old...not a great idea. I am still subscribed to the thread and that was the only case of AI takeover. So unless I missed something, I stand by my assertion. Anyway, it's not that big a deal (the reload).
Glad you're enjoying the thread! I am sure we'll do better this time.

Moved Gandhi south. We'll find out if we have copper next turn. The demos...
Everyone is doing a farmer's gambit so far (some more than others). Important turn coming up.

We have copper...
I am thinking it might be better to 2 pop whip the settler and build a worker after the settler. We can delay the gold mine and instead road to the copper. We'll need to divert the warrior to Moria instead of spawn busting to the NW but we should have enough warriors to cover the worker. I think hooking up the copper should be the priority right now. We can always chop out another worker or two to catch up on worker turns. Pottery seems like the best research target. The Gavagai situation...
Not sure what we want to do here. Maybe head SW?
@ Nakor : we still need to play the turn (only had the worker finish the farm). We need to be on the same page before we proceed.
