T105 played, pictures here
Since I'm playing this for a week, I'm playing it a bit more like it was my own game--main things are that I 2-pop whipped the Buddhist Temple in Madrid and I'm moving the new settler to the stone/marble city in the SE. If that settler's supposed to go somewhere else I couldn't see it, and the other city sites you had marked didn't look that good compared to the SE city, even though they're much easier to defend.
Is there lurker interest if I were to do actual reports? With PBEM58 over and PB18 moving at a glacier's pace, I could do some more actual updates/analysis/planning with my updates, instead of just dumping my unnamed pictures in a folder.

I'm actually here this week as I don't leave until Friday. But it's fine you played. Better to get a feel for things now when I can actively coordinate with you. I'll log in tomorrow to see what you did.
And yes, the settler was set to go to the marble stone spot.

Oh--apparently I misunderstood the timing of my takeover

You are now in charge....sad as that may be. LOL
We're going to be losing our chosen spot for the Marble/Stone city this turn. Cheater Hater (well, his replacement now) is (or already has) settling a city there this turn. So I think our settler should go NE to the coast, to the tile 1N of the Marble. I think that's the spot that will get it to also reach the best seafood options.
Anyway, everything else just figure it out however you would play it. Have fun and I look forward to whatever chaos ensued in my absense. Keep posting though, since I should be able to check internet from my phone occasionally. I do know even telephone service where we'll be staying is spotty.

I think you got confused there a bit--we're losing the city, but I'll settle it this turn? Do you mean slowcheetah/Donovan Zoi got the spot?

Ack, yeah I typed the wrong name. I meant slowcheetah. LOL
This past turn I moved the Settler to be one tile away from our original chosen destination. And I see Donovan has a settler/spear/axe on the tile just south of ours already. I assume he's going to be settling this turn somewhere...either on the tile where they are (which is a grass hill) such that they get the Stone. Or they are even planning on moving to basically the same spot I was aiming for, which would get both resources.
If he settles this turn, you won't be able to settle when the turn rolls. And if you settle, it could also be difficult to defend. Basically it'll probably be a nightmare for both of us. Probably why he logged in, did stuff, and still hasn't ended turn. He's probably trying to decide what to do, himself.
I know he has a Chariot somewhere down there too, since my axe saw it before coming back north to start guarding our settling location. You could probably get enough Axes & Spears down there to attack him if he does settle a city somewhere that blocks us. I was already moving some down that way, and building more. That spot is on the far reaches of both of our civs.
You'll just have to log in yourself to see what I'm talking about. I don't have time to log in to take a screenshot since I need to get to bed for getting up super early to be on the road tomorrow. Either way, our settler is probably going to be delayed by quite a bit in making a city.
If they settle in place, we can go NE to get the Marble. If they move and settle, that blocks us from both resources. And would force us to destroy his city in order to settle our own.

T109 has been played--I'm posting the pictures here for HAK, but I might decide to write a report for this turn (or at least this turn and next turn together) soon--right now I don't have the motivation to even write a full PB18 report for my own thread
My plan is to settle the new city 1N of the Marble--I'm not sure if that's the city you were talking about (since it's N-NE, not NE), but it gets the Marble, shares the Corn Valencia is about to expand to, and still gets the seafood. We'd still probably need to attack slowcheetah/DZ eventually, but we obviously can't afford the troops right now (with the power-hungry Seven on multiple borders)--and actually, I think if we were to actively attack someone, I'd think we might get the most benefit by sniping Westmoreland from wetbandit--I don't think we'll be in position to do anything about that by the end of my takeover, but it's an idea of something to do (since we're obviously not going to win like this).

T110 pictures here--still busy, and my PB18 report comes before anything more detailed than a picture dump here
