A huge map should be fine. I think the cost should be set to large though, otherwise the tech costs really constrain the early game.

What does everyone else think?

I'll second, Huge map rolled, then manually reset to Large for tech costs. Large/Monarch been the baseline for these things' cost.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I have nothing against Huge map, but I think Large will make the game more dynamic.

I for one would greatly appreciate a little breathing room. I like the huge map, large setting idea.

Hi guys,

The current position on the map is this; I took the starts the game rolled and tried to buff/nerf them as required so that they are approximately the same strength. The starts are wildly different in places but I believe the variation in strength is at least within the levels of PB8, PB13. This approach has met with a bit of a mixed response in the lurker thread. If you guys are happy with this approach, I'll send out the starts in the morning. If you prefer, I can give everyone a similar, almost mirrored, capital.
