Hmm, we're in some trouble here. She'll probably pop her WS, which means that she'll be taking most fights at 50% or so at worst.


Our best hope is going to be AI stupidity; pretty good chance she'll take a city or two but then get confused and leave them undefended. It's unfortunate that our economy is so terrible, we're ages from being able to tech anything that will enable us to lock her units in place.

Oh, and a good guide can be seen in reading some of the early game threads, especially all the PBEM1 threads, Illios PBEM2 thread, or Kyan or Gaspar/NobleHelium's PBEM 7 threads.

The stack disappeared. I had microed to get BW down to 2t to give us the best shot:


I celebrated by re-crashing our economy:


Loki then headed across to the Amurite city, which has been slow-building a Monument since.

I used Fishing as the dump-tech while building up the coffers again (seems to be my role here ). Otherwise a quiet set; Os came with a demand:


Which I accepted. I rejected Am's request to declare war on Capria, and that did it for foreign relations. We could probably improve things with some of our neighbours by taking FoL.

Training Yards are up in the North and we have Axes trickling out. The Amurite city is about to complete their Monument, so now would probably be the time to grab it if we want to. I've had cities maxing growth, but there's space to hire some more specialists to push the economy. Also, Loki needs to get back to entertaining once he makes the grab (or not).

I support boosting any cities we can off Valledia. IIRC she's mostly building Archers, so she isn't too scary even if we piss her off. The more cities we can build Firebows and/or Cave-boosted Wizards from, the better.


Oh, I totally forgot we have a WS to keep us safe too. Something to keep in mind!


I like Archery for our next tech, but Education probably makes more sense.
