Hey guys, tonight is my weekly sacrifice to the God of beer. Yeah, no turn tonight, sorry.

So this is the ban list I found in the other organization thread.

We're getting to this point in the game where we might want to ban nukes as well. Are you guys ok with that or do you think it's too late to add a ban ?

I think we're ahead of the game on banning Nukes - I don't think anyone's beelined them yet - so I don't see a problem with adding that ban. I would support it.

The other one we should probably discuss is bombarding of improvements. That's been raised in the later-era Pitboss games, but due in part to non-sequential turns making Resource re-connection a non-trivial matter. That is not an issue here, but it's going to be painful if we start stripping off each others' Towns...

Banning nukes seems common-sense and standard.

With sequential turns, I think bombing improvements is fine. Stopping bombing is what Intercept missions are for. The real issue, as I understand it, was non-sequential turns making it impossible to reconnect your oil and build Fighters to defend yourself under a turn split, thereby making air force a strat with no counters. We're in PBEM, so you can always reconnect Oil on your turn and get production into a round of air defense.

Right, the main issue for the Pitbosses was Turn-splits preventing the rehooking of key resources. Now bombarded Strategics & other Resources are just a royal pain in the neck, but not a disaster. Having to regrow a Village to a Town on the other hand....

I am fine either way.

On the other hand having air superiority should be rewarded. How about not bombing towns unless you bombard it 4 times (so theoretically reducing it to nothing). That avoids the OPness of bombing towns into villages while risking only 1 plane.

Or we go with improvement bombing without restriction

I'm fine with either the modified rule or no restriction.

Erm, on the subject of bans; typically city trades are banned, but there's a grey / undefined area around revolts ... so it seems Sam Allardyce wants new Shoes. Any objections, or should I sack him?
