It really is a waste of time me being in this tournament, is anybody actually enjoying their games against me, or should i just withdraw and play people my own level?

Wrong thread, I guess, but yes, I'm enjoying having you in the tournament. Having some rating gaps just adds an extra dimension to the tournament - how hard should we push for a win when we play lower-rated players? How risk-averse should we be against higher-rated players?

Did it seem to you as well as if Peter Svidler talked 90% of the time? I felt WGM Sopiko Guramishvili's main job was to agree with him and laugh at his jokes. Probably doesn't help that he is rated almost 400 points higher. wink

And I read somewhere that the Norwegian TV offers a live broadcast of all games, is that true? smile

It seemed to me that her job was to assist him when he needed to stop talking for a second to breathe. Which worked well, really. She did have insights of her own, but as long as Svidler didn't start repeating himself I was happy to have him doing most of the talking.

Norwegian TV does broadcast live, but their commentary is aimed at viewers who barely know the rules of chess.
