I did notice ragnaros has a very annoying habit of hitting the most irrelevant target on the board, but I like having another big threat available, 8/8 taunts are a lot more fragile than I thought they would be, and in general I am happy when Rag shows up in control matches. I might try out PO though and see how it plays, could be a way to get some more value out of the 2/3s.

With only 2 HP they'll only ever trade with something else. If you can get pw: shield on them then they can do a lot of work but again I don't think they're worthwhile most of the time. If you want to test them out with a particular deck go ahead though.

I accidentally drafted an arena with 17 spells and Antonidas. It only went 5-3 which is about my average, but it was hilarious and fun. Twice I played warriors, and by some fate those were the games where Antonidas was buried in the last 5 cards of my deck. Neither warrior could get anything to stick to the board, but they were able to clear my few minions. The first one lost hope and gave up once I had built some advantage. The second one stuck around until I finally drew my win condition.

In my final game, I had a starting hand of frostbolt, frostbolt, arcane intellect, frostbolt. I played flamestrike on turn 8 followed by Antonidas and 2 arcane missiles on turn 9. Opponent played twisting nether. I tried to get my minions out and push him into lethal range. When I drew the only the fireball in my deck, giving me 3 in hand, I thought I had it in the bag. I used 2 of the 3 fireballs on the penultimate turn, which turns out to be a big misplay. When you now face Lord Jaraxxus.

That very good deck I drafted went 8 wins. 2 of the losses were winnable games, I think, but one was against a über paladin deck.

After that run, I drafted an average mage deck. Went 7/8 wins, can't remember exactly. It definetely seems like mage is the best Arena class...

Maybe I'm just getting worse but arena feels more competitive to me lately once you get past 5 wins vs where it was a couple months ago. It's like, try to imagine the exact perfect composition of mage and paladin cards to beat your deck, and then assume you're going to alternate between playing those two decks for your 9th win onward. lol

I sort of soured on Arena. While I still need cards and hence should be playing it the Arena playstyle gets a bit dull after a bit, I think. Constructed has its drawbacks as well of course, since you definitely run into a bajillion of the flavor of the month decks, but Arena mostly feels like just a competition to see who can get maged the hardest.

I'm sure the fact that my last half-dozen drafts have been absolutely abysmal colors that as well.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

If anything, Miracle Rogue is even worse this season than it was in last season. About 30% of the decks I play are miracle rogue at my ranking now. :|

I've dropped from rank 15 to 19 playing Priest. Probably time to start playing the same decks everyone is playing.
